Spring yarn just keeps on coming by the box full. The shop is full of new yarn and a few new brands. Among them the amazing DanDoh. This beautiful cotton yarn is the creation of Japanese knitter and textile artist Yumiko Alexander. This amazing woman creates exiting designs and patterns to go with the versatile yarns in her line. Get to know the artis in her Ravelry page and at our shop.
Can you believe the colors?? This yarn is just out of this world. Back in January we only had a handful of skeins to see what you all thought. Turns out we all loved then, so now they are back!
More colors, more skeins. The shine on this 100% rayon yarn is amazing, and the deep and intense hues make them irresistible.
Its kind of hard to see them, touch them, photograph them, write about them, and NOT take them home...right??
After a few days in bed with terrble vertigo, I woke up this morning to find color and beauty just outside my window. Spring seems to have sprung a bit early, a quick instagram glance proves it's not just around here.
These beautiful zinnias are my favorite kind flower. For two seasons straight I have managed to grow them and enjoy the varied and colorful blooms in the garden and around the house.
I just love the color inspiration cut flowers provide. A quick raid of the old stash drawers made for a beautiful early morning shoot.
Grab a cup of tea and feel inspired!
A few weeks ago I got a call from our crazy shop owner telling me the shelves were empty, the tables bare, and the stock room depleted. I have to say she sounded quite distressed. She had recently been to the fiber arts show in Arizona, and now she was back home, waiting not so patiently for the spring/summer orders to arrive.
Wait no more! The boxes arrived this morning, and I was called in to work early. As you can see there is plenty to choose from. Cotton, silk, bamboo, and a bit of everything in between. But we all know, with yarn this amazing, the shelves will be empty and ready for new yarn very soon!
