We have so many reasons to Celebrate. PuntoReves is turning 5! Join us June 19th as we celebrate your friendship and support with a yarn filled field trip. There will be needles, baked goodies, chatter, yarn, and yessss there will be coffee. It will be a knitter's paradise.

I thought about accompanying the announcement with pictures of FO and WIP from around the shop, but I've been dreaming of goodies and cakes to celebrate our 5th year. So much so, that this weekend I decided to bake up a new brownie recipe. I'd say they passed the test (they are insanely good).

... Eat cake!!! Yes yes yes and yes! What better day to indulge? Becausr I love to bake, I took my time in the kitchen yesterday morning. Baking and yarn work are both in the same category as doing to the spa and good old sleeping. They are all relaxing, restorative and invigorating. Ohhh,  and did I mention rewarding?
This cake is all about coffee. I made a nice yellow cake, soaked it in espresso and rum, espresso candied pecans for crunch both insidr and out, and once again, a big pile of fluffy swiss meringue.
  The pecans were so good they even made their way onto the bananas foster pancakes we had for breakfast.
  The best thing about cooking on Mother's  Day, is that because I am THE mother, I didn't have to do the dishes!!
