To me, baking requires effort, creativity and effort. It tastes as good as the intention behind it. So after months of looking at amazing cakes on instagram feeds, I decided to make time to bake. ohhhh the smell! Baking how I missed you!! For this cake I settled on a lavander sponge with a peach, vanilla and rum compote filling, and a huge fluffy mountain of meringue for frosting. No fancy decoration, just pure goodness on the inside, and finger-licking goodness on the outside.
Ohhh, the sweet reward of baking, is there anything like it???
